CCTV
Overview
By simply connecting one of the Axis Camera products directly to a computer network, or modem, you can access ‘live’ video streams from your desktop. These images can be distributed to other people, or the whole Internet community via the World Wide Web.
Offering in-picture motion detection and advanced pre/post alarm features, Axis products can be used with a wide range of commercially available external alarm devices. If an alarm occurs, video streams can be directed to a remote picture library over a network with simultaneous e-mail alerts sent to specialist personnel.
Easy to install, use and maintain, Axis camera and video products make crisp images available to a wider audience than any closed-circuit system could hope to achieve. This also allows for remote monitoring to be available, which is a further measure available in protecting premises from unwarranted intrusion.
To ensure compatibility with legacy CCTV surveillance systems, Axis also provides product solutions for imaging with analogue systems and computer networks, simultaneously. This provides the ideal imaging tool for bridging analogue and digital technologies.
The Axis camera and video server products represent a progressive move towards a future-proof surveillance system.
The inclusion of the computer network, whether it be Cat 5e, 11Mbps RF, or 128Kbps ISDN means that the CCTV network can be expanded to all locations within a company without increased cabling costs.
The use of the 11Mbps RF network allows for the rapid deployment of CCTV to any area with local 24 hour power and RF coverage, resulting in a covert surveillance option at a cost that is not prohibitive.
