ARGUS - IP

Using the latest digital video camera technology and video processing, Argus-IP operates in a wide variety of applications.

Argus-IP makes video cameras accessible using the internet and existing LAN infrastructure – removing barriers, creating new applications and reducing costs.

ARGUS-IP Features

Argus-IP supports system capacities of 5, 9 or 14 digital video cameras with an extensive image detection and event triggering specification. An optional product version is available for certain monitoring applications.

Features of the full Argus-IP product include:

Event Capture

Argus-IP enables detailed tracking and viewing of digitally recorded video events. The product automatically monitors and captures events while you, or your monitoring team, continue with other duties.

Intuitive and easy to use, Argus-IP provides extensive facilities. Powerful features allow you to quickly, and easily, view and study complete recordings - individual sections or single frames of video images.

Unique Features

A unique ‘Instant Playback’ feature allows the previous 15 seconds of video to be replayed at the touch of a button should an ‘event’ be noticed.

The Argus-IP map facility allows up to 4 maps, or digitised images, to be stored within the application – making Argus-IP particularly powerful in Campus and geographically distributed environments.

Maps allow video camera positions to be easily related to the outside world – being represented as icons on a map. Video camera icons dynamically change to show events being recorded – a single click on a camera icon allows instant viewing.

Image Retrieval

Argus-IP provides comprehensive tools for retrieving and playing back video images. Easy to use controls permit rapid location of recorded events; a click on the colour-coded event allows the recorded video images to be directly viewed.

Argus-IP further assists diagnosis with its powerful digital zoom function, which can be used to pinpoint image detail.

Real time, date and frame sequence numbers are added by Argus-IP together with camera identifiers to allow precise verification of actual events.

When the desired events have been isolated, images can be exported as static or moving video images.

Video Reprocessing

Another unique Argus-IP feature is that previously captured images maybe played back through the image processing capability (forwards or backwards in real or multiple time). All thresholds and parameters used to capture images can be modified prior to video post processing - allowing even more targeted inspection and examination – revealing more image detail.
