Initially, the offering was based around electrical services in the West End of London, which to this day remains a core part of the support offering to retail clients. Through the late '70s J Brand took the first steps into the emerging field of data networking, which has lead to J Brand working with all of the IP and Ethernet based technologies in the retail sector.
The nerve centre of J Brand's retail offering is the Runcorn Distribution & Commissioning Centre; a 26,000sq ft facility that was specifically designed in 2003.
The scope of projects varies from one-off solutions for head offices through to 1000 site roll-outs across the UK and Europe. With over 120 directly employed staff, all work is carried out to the highest standard from the initial consultancy and design through to the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.
Based on the bedrock of data networking, IT and EPOS commissioning and electrical services, the solution portfolio has expanded to encompass some of the "hot topics" in the retail world, such as, Kiosks, Digital Signage, IP Security & Access Control, People Traffic Counting and RFID.
